WATTA SPORT

One day... as I was sitting on my bed, laptop on my lap...... thinking of what can I do for this day, to make me feel relieve of what the whole day brings.

Me: Aigoo... It was so tiring...

Cousin: Yes! I know right... But Do you want to try another game? Janice said that there were a lot of sports that she can recommend us.

Me: Really!? Oh I want to try it? Shall we go now?

Cousin: Sure off course.

...Janice's House...

Me: Hey Janice, my cousin told me that you knew a lot of sports, can you recommend us one?

Janice: Sure, why not! Do you know Badminton? It was one of my favorite sport. My father said that it was his favorite as well. It is such a wonderful game.

Cousin: Really? Can we try it? I want to learn how t play that. I used to play that before but I forgot it already

Janice: So let's go now

...In the field...

Me: Wow! Nice view...

Cousin: let us start playing

Janice: Okay! here is the first rule. If your score is an even number, you should be on the right side and if it's an odd number, you should be on the left. Get it?

Me & Cousin: YES!!!

Janice: Another, while you are playing be sure to shoot the ball on the right box. okay? So let us start

Me: Okay....

Cousin: Yeah

...After playing...

Me: Ohhh, it was so fun... Don't you know that my mother once told me that I should not try playing it before?

Janice: Oh? Really? Why?

Me: Because she told me that playing such a ball games would hurt me and can cause a lot of injuries to my body.

Cousin: That is why, you are so pail and you are so weak!!!

Janice: Yes! I think so...

Me: Yeah, so now, I know that I should exercise more.. Thanks guys

Aeneas/Creusa vs. Hector/Andromache

In the story of Aeneid by Virgil, one of the most famous part was about Aeneas and his wife Creusa. Creusa begs to Aeneas to stay because she is worrying to their son. Creusa is really a good mother because she is worrying to her husband and to her son. She begs Aeneas to stay by her side and her sons side because she believes that it is better if Aeneas will just stay with them rather than sacrificing his life in the war.

On the other hand, there was the same scene between Hector and Andromache. She pleads to Hector to stay by her side with her and with their son as well. The only difference of their story to Aeneas' was that, Andromache figured out what will happen to her husband so she immediately stopped him but her husband did not listen so he died in the end.

After reading the story, I realized how painful it is to a woman, being left away by their husbands who are warriors because they can't tell whether if their beloved will still go home safe and alive. Another, I learned how a woman, loves their partner and how they care about their health and safety.

WHAT DOES AENEID MEAN TO ME?

In my own thinking and perspective, I can define Aeneid as a story of Aeneas who fought for his purpose in life even though there were a lot of struggles that came upon him. He fought bravely for the sake of his countrymen and fought for what he think is right. For me, the theme was so good and we can get a lot of inspiring lessons from this.

While reading the story, I realized how each of the characters in the story fought for their desires. Like in our real life, we usually fight for our own desires and always listen to ourselves, not thinking sometimes whether it can hurt someone or not. Like the theme of Aeneid, there were really girls that were ready to sacrifice their lives just to fight for their desires as well.

In conclusion, Aeneid was a little bit the same in our real world because there were wars that are happening in our places now. It was really the same because the people were brave and they don’t want to lose on their journeys. I can simply say that the theme of Aeneid was really applicable in our world and it has a lot of similarities.

How does it feel?

In the story of Aeneid by Virgil, as Aeneas of Troy tells about the story about the fall of his city, I really felt sympathy not on him only but for all of his fellow countrymen in his city. This was one of the most heart-breaking scene occurred in the story. It was about telling a story on how your own land or your own city fell down by the hands of others not by the natural calamities.

As I realized what this part of the story means, I really felt bad and pity them. Comparing it to our real life, we usually want, if ever, that something would happen to us and to the place where we are, we would really want our lost to be because of natural calamities not from the other people who wants to rule us. We would never want to be ruled by anybody and be thrown away in our own land or worst, we would never want to see our land being destroyed by someone.

For every challenge, we should always accept that there will be a time that we are on top and times that we are at the bottom. At those times that we are at the top of achieving what we wanted to be, we should know how to control our feelings and know each of everyone’s limitations. For the times that we are at the bottom, we usually feels down but it’s normal as long as we can still handle ourselves. For those times, we should know how to accept those downfalls and know how to make a way in order to rise again even though there were a lot of walls blocking us. We should still look forward. Even if there were millions of reasons of giving up and losing that simple goal, we should at least or we should still find one reason on how to stay positive and fight those circumstances.

As Aeneas finally reached Rome, I prove that my perspective in life about positivism and action is true. It is because, despite of many challenges that happened to them, they still fought and pursue the duties given to them – to find Rome and lead it. As a conclusion, I can say that I felt pity on them but it changed as they try to rise again and show that they were really brave enough than the other cities because they were together and helped each other not for their own sake but for all of them.

“MONA LISA’S ENIGMATIC SMILE”

Every one of us knows Mona Lisa; she’s one of the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci. He’s a great painter who painted Mona Lisa having undefinable smile. Her smile became a question because it explains a lot of emotions. Since before, it’s a question who’s Mona Lisa and why did Leonardo da Vinci chose to paint it and named it as Mona Lisa but several sources said that it is from the wealthy man named Francesco del Giocondo’s wife who is Lisa. He called his wife “my lady” who also means “Mona”.

Until now, I am still wondering for who’s the real Mona Lisa. Many stories said that Mona Lisa is a princess but whoever she is, all that I know is that, the Mona Lisa painting became very popular because of its mysterious smile. There were a lot of emotions in Mona Lisa’s smile and six of those were written on a book, those were; happiness, not surprised at all, angry, fearful, disgusted and neutral. Because there were a lot of emotions given, I became more confused on what’s the real meaning of that smile.

As a conclusion, I realized that a good painting was not just based on the color and on how it is drew. It is about on how it is formed and on how capable a painting explains a story in our lives. Like Mona Lisa’s painting, it became popular because of the way it was painted it was really enigmatic.

“ME AND MY HISTORICAL FRIEND”

All of us idolize someone…
It can be a group… solo… pair and historical persons…
One of my most favorite historical person was Dr. Jose Rizal…
He was our National Hero and he was one of the people who fought for our freedom. He sacrificed all just to gain our library and up to his last breath, he still thought of his own country especially, his countrymen.

If I could just bring the past back and if I could just see him in my dreams… I want to spend some time with him and asked a lot of things to him. If ever that I could see him and spend time with him I think we are going to talk a lot of things. First, I will ask him; what was the first thing that went in your mind to have that kind of self-confidence and that kind of strength to fight. That even though there were a lot of Spaniards and even they were more powerful, he still fought no matter what it takes… I am so curious because he’s one of my inspirations in my life. At times when I’m down… he’s one of the people that gave me strength because like me, he was once a child, a learner, a teenager and an adult. He knows a lot and he have a lot of experiences that I know, that it will really… and will definitely encourage me.

Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal… A model of all… The person who end our sufferings and the person who’s always by our side no matter what criticisms he received. I wish I had a chance to see him but at least, knowing his history and contributions was enough. Another thing that I wanted to know from him was, did his history and contributions was enough. Another thing that I wanted to know from him was, did failure stop you? Or… Have you think of giving up or losing hope because the Spaniards were very powerful at that time and the Filipinos were afraid… I think he will say NO… because like what he did… he fought and died for freedom… In the near future I want to be like him. A Filipino citizen who will give name to our country and be a citizen with strong pride and dignity.
